"Just wanted to let you know I booked my first sedation case this morning after taking the class in Dallas. I'm very excited and can't wait to get started! I had a very nervous patient that was scheduled for endo, a build-up and crown this morning and was just going to use nitrous and "tolerate" the procedure. I offered her sedation and she not only rescheduled to do it under sedation, but also scheduled to do the rest of her treatment while "under"! She scheduled for a few weeks down the road, so she could make arrangements at work and for a companion, but the dollars scheduled more than doubled! And she will be happy! I can't believe how easy this is to implement. I looked ahead in my schedule and there are at least 3 other patients that are high fear booked this month. I'm going to call and offer sedation to them. They are ASA 1 or 2 and needs multiple restorations. I believe this will change the way I practice forever. I had no idea...
Thank you for providing such a great service to everyone that took the course. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and felt it was well worth the money spent. I'm anxious to implement these new skills into my practice. I am so grateful!

"Just wanted to drop you a line and you and DOCS know that sedation dentistry has been a benefit to our practice, both to our patients and ourselves. My partner and I have been “sedation” dentists for over a year now, and while as endodontists we don’t use it as often as some of our general dentists referrers, we find it a valuable addition to our management techniques for fearful patients. The lowered stress level for the patient is obvious, but the decreased stress level for us and the staff while treating the patient was even more than anticipated, allowing us to concentrate on the endodontic therapy itself without the distraction of an extremely fearful patient. Often, we were the first treating dentist in a fearful patients treatment plan sequence, and were able to report back to the sedation general dentist what protocol we successfully used. This helped further create a strong referral relationship, which was an unanticipated bonus. Plus, it’s always great to hear the patient say when you call them later that they could not believe that had a “root canal” done, and then ask if I would do all their dentistry. How great is that! Sedation dentistry in endodontics has a definitely useful niche!!"
Robin Hinrichs, DDS |

William Hinsley, DMD, MAGD |
 |
"“The DOCS courses that I’ve taken including “CAOS”, “ACLS” and “20 Hours Live” (before the restructure) were more hands-on and “how to” (than other course I’ve taken). (W)e started IVs and learned several protocols. The ACLS course was informative and entertaining, not the grinder you would expect. The CAOS course was great for treating ASA III and relating their diseases. That October CAOS was the debut of TOP doses and some newer protocols. The speakers were better and able to relate material better to the real world versus the academic scenarios. It also seems that in all the recent publications on sedation the DOCS group is working harder at putting the word out, so to speak. If I had to pick one organization to keep my membership, I would choose DOCS every day.” "
Tony Carroccia, DDS, FDOCS |

"I just finished the DOCS ACLS course in LA. It was such a great experience that, like the last DOCS sedation course, I couldn't wait to get back to my office and share my experiences...Not only was the material presented in a clear and professional manner, but entertaining, and most of all FUN... I used to be nervous and almost afraid that a cardiac event would happen in my office and how I would be prepared. I was trained and have years of experience, but still there was that little doubt. Now I am confident and have immediately changed my office emergency protocols. Obviously I highly recommend this course to any doctor, and can't wait till the renewal next time.
"
Rick K. Smith, DDS |

Thank you so much for making ACLS certification so stress free and actually “friendly.” You really are the best at what you do."

"I would like to drop you a note to let you know how much I really enjoyed your presentation of the ACLS in Indianpolis. I did read the book, after returning to Chicago, from cover to cover.
I find that you had covered the material extremely well. More importantly you presented the information in a non-threatenting fashion. It helped me, after 23 years of clinical practice, to understand why everyone should be certified in ACLS.
Thank you again...you were both great educators."
James P. Chiagn, DDS, MSc, DER |

"The ACLS Course was one of the best courses that I've taken in a very long time. John Bovia and Dr. Murphy took a difficult and potentially dry subject and made it very interesting and enjoyable. In the 30 plus years that I've been attending CE courses, never have I learned more and enjoyed the seminar as much. I would recommend this course and the entire DOCS program to anyone who wants to learn more in these associated fields."

Register for both courses and save 15%
If you have been considering attending “OSD” you’ll agree it just makes good sense to take an DALS®/ACLS course designed for dentists; especially due to America growing population with heart disease, diabetes, and other health problems discussed in DOCS “DALS®/ACLS.” After investigating the types of cardiac emergencies taught in “typical” ACLS programs, it is apparent about 90% of the situations are not applicable to the general dentistry practice. This is evident by the nearly 50% failure rate of dentists when testing for ACLS certification without taking a dental-friendly course.
During the two DOCS seminar dates of your choosing you will be able to participate in profound educational experiences that are fun and enjoyable for you and your entire team, taught by the best, most experienced ACLS and sedation dentistry experts in the United States. Indeed, no one else has trained as many successful ACLS-certified sedation dentists as DOCS. And your satisfaction is guaranteed. |

| "(PALS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support" |
 |
A two-day Course
Tuition: $1195 Member Doctor; $1395 Non-Member Doctor or Team
Making Sedation Safer for Children (15 CEU)
Much like DALS®, DOCS Education’s PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) course includes all of the training covered in hospital PALS courses but has the profound added benefit of being customized for dentistry. Dentists learn how to run a MEGACODE emergency in a dental office, not in a hospital.
The focus of PALS is on pediatric assessment and recognition of systems in distress before the heart stops beating, including airway obstruction, allergic reactions, respiratory insufficiency, and hypoxemia. For kids, most emergencies begin first with respiratory distress, which then leads to cardiac arrest. It’s different for adults, making PALS training invaluable for any dentist who treats children.

"“I brought with me some of the team including 2 hygienists and our assistant mgr – all who have been with the practice before I became partner and who are extremely reluctant to new things. I sat at lunch today listening with amazement to have them tell me things we need to do in order to implement this into our practice! Your enthusiasm is infectious and I will be sending the rest of the team to this course!”

"We've done over half a dozen cases now and they've all gone amazingly. The feedback from all the patients has been great. Ron has taken the second course to do multiple dosing which has made things a lot easier. I think its made all the difference that Ron brought us to the course in Seattle because we never would have been able to implement this without the knowledge we gained. Patients have all been very receptive to the systems we now have in place (paying up front, consultation appointments and scheduling according to our book). Lastly, because of this we're also able to do bigger and longer cases. I just want to thank you again for all of your support and encouragement."
