Dr. Anthony S. Feck is not only as outstanding clinician, he is a highly-sought educator, speaker, mentor, author, and businessman.
He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1983 and served as an associate professor in periodontics and restorative dentistry there until 1985. He has been in private practice in Lexington, KY since 1983 and is among the top U.S. dentists recognized for restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
His passions and talents intersect at one pivotal point: oral sedation dentistry.
Dr. Feck first began to explore sedation dentistry in 1997 after meeting Dr. Michael D. Silverman. Much like Dr. Silverman, he sought a way to treat the startling number of people refusing to seek dental care due to dental phobia, fear, and anxiety. Together, they began to pioneer safe and effective protocols that could be used on a wide range of patients to address these symptoms. In the process, they discovered numerous other benefits of sedation dentistry, such as being able to perform more dentistry in a single visit, eliminating post-operative pain and discomfort, dramatically reducing stress for both the patient and the dentist, and optimizing care while maximizing profitability.
In 1999, Drs. Feck and Silverman founded DOCS Education. Together, they have trained over 20,000 dentists on the science and art of oral sedation dentistry. Those dentists, in turn, have gone on to treat over one million fearful and anxious patients who would have never otherwise sought care. Dr. Feck has personally treated over 3000 sedation cases.
In 2007, Dr. Feck co-founded Sunrise Dental Solutions (SDS), a dental practice management company. SDS utilizes the skills and methods used in Dr. Feck’s own successful practice, as well as targeted and customized coaching.
Those who have met Dr. Feck know that his love of the profession radiates through to everything he does, from lecturing on oral sedation dentistry to teaching dentists how to better manage their practices.
