Montana: Oral, Pediatric and IV Sedation Dentistry Regulations
Montana Board of Dentistry Rule §24.138.3221(5) requires dentists to complete 16 hours of relevant training, including a clinical component, before providing minimal sedation to dental patients (using an oral sedative with or without nitrous).*
Most states require dentists to complete a 60-hour didactic course followed by 20 actual clinical patient cases of IV administration plus a permit in order to provide their patients with IV sedation.Find an IV Sedation Training course
