What does March mean to you?

Basketball?

St. Patrick’s Day?

Lions and lambs?

At DOCS Education, March signifies our favorite, and a very important, time of year. On March 17th, 2014, DOCS Education will bring you Sedation Safety Week (SSW). Designed with both the sedation dentist and the curious dentist in mind, Sedation Safety Week delivers a daily dose of the newest sedation dentistry information, regulations, tips and stories all week long.

Created in 2008 with the goal of getting more information on sedation dentistry out into the dental community, Sedation Safety Week fosters ever-growing excitement and participation each year. To help dentists continue to safely and successfully treat patients in need, Sedation Safety Week reviews key protocols that all sedation dentists and their team must implement with every sedation case. Each day of the week, DOCS Education will highlight different areas of safety from the operatory to regulations. With participation ranging from DOCS Education faculty, to regulatory experts, to practicing Emergency Medical Technicians, SSW is recognized as the source for sedation dentistry information.

And what about those who exemplify everything a sedation dentist and practice should be? Capping off Sedation Safety Week is the announcement of the DOCS Education Sedation Dentist of the Year. These dentists are tried and true examples of what it means to practice safe sedation dentistry.

So, try and keep your excitement at a reasonable level so as not to scare your friends and family and check back on the DOCS homepage on March 17th!
