DOCS Education’s newsletter, The Incisor was recently honored in the Thirty-Third Annual APEX Awards competition as a recipient of a 2021 Award of Excellence for Newsletters, Electronic, and Email by professional communicators.
The APEX Awards recognize distinction in graphic design, editorial content, and publication in overall communications excellence. 2020 was a challenging year, and we’ve all had to navigate uncharted paths. To win an award during this time is an exceptional honor, and we recognize the hard work and diligence of fellow publications and creatives in all the categories.
According to this year’s panel of judges, Ken Turtoro, APEX Senior Judge and Concepts Executive Editor; John De Lellis, Concepts Editor & Publisher; Christine Turner, Contributing Editor of the Writing That Works Archives; and Bill Londino, Consulting Editor of Writer’s Web Watch, the 2021 award-winning entries were, “Classic examples of good ideas, imaginatively executed, despite limitations due to tight budgets, limited resources, and smaller staff.”
Produced by a team of respected writers, journalists, copywriters, and editors, The Incisor is published biweekly and reaches over 70,000 dental professionals. Tens of thousands of oral health professionals count on Incisor’s APEX award-winning content. Exclusive to The Incisor, our articles cover topics ranging from dental science, practice management, legal and regulatory issues, technology, economics, continuing education, health & wellness, research, patient care, pop culture, and critical timely issues around COVID-19.
When Dr. Michael Silverman, founder, and president of DOCS Education, started The Incisor, his goal was to further the mission of educating dental professionals and keeping DOCS Education members and sedation course graduates well informed around developments that impact them and their patients. Under the direction of Dr. Silverman, The Incisor is an informative resource of relevant, timely, and practical information for oral health professionals.
Well done, team!
