The medical and scientific establishment are increasingly discovering that nature has provided each of us a reserve pool of biological substances that can be harnessed throughout our lives to heal our injuries and to slow or reverse the aging process.

In short, we can repair and rejuvenate ourselves.

That is the message that Dr. Terry Grossman, one of the world’s leading experts on nutritional and anti-aging medicine, delivered to a rapt audience of dentists and their guests at the inaugural DINNER with DOCS™ keynote address presented at the recent Sedation and Advanced Dentistry Conference in Chicago.

Dr. Terry Grossman, one of the world’s leading experts on nutritional and anti-aging medicine

Dr. Grossman is the co-author of the bestsellers Transcend: Nine Steps to Living Well Forever and Fantastic Voyage: Live Long Enough to Live Forever, both with renowned futurist Ray Kurzweil.

In 1994, Dr. Grossman founded the Grossman Wellness Center, based in suburban Denver, and it quickly grew into one of the largest complementary medical centers in America. He and his colleagues attract patients from around the world, including many VIPs and CEOs.

“There is a difference between growing old and aging,” Dr. Grossman explained. “The goal I have for myself and for my patients is to … grow older but do so without experiencing the aging process – something that is harmful to us where we’re developing heart disease and loss of memory and loss of vigor and all the things that are typically associated with old age.”

Dr. Grossman walked the audience through the various types of treatments and stem cells that scientists are developing, in particular showcasing the advances that have been achieved relying on so-called “small stem cells.”

“Small stems cells are particularly beneficial because they are small and able to travel anywhere throughout the body,” Dr. Grossman said. “Other stem cells are quite a bit larger than these cells, and they can’t fit through the capillaries.”

Hear Dr. Grossman spell out the advantages of small stem cells:

Dr. Grossman explained that he has been very cautious about embracing treatments using small stem cells, waiting about two-and-a-half years after other physicians began treating patients with them to make certain these new therapies were safe. He then tried it on himself, he recalled, “and I found that the results were quite remarkable.”

Dr. Grossman told the dentists at DINNER with DOCS™ that over the past six months, he has treated about 60 patients using small stem cell therapies and “the overwhelming majority have had very beneficial results.”

Hear Dr. Grossman tell the story of two recent patients; one a 79-year-old woman and the other a 70-year-old man who showed amazing improvements after stem cell therapy:

He emphasized that all the stem cells he uses are adult stem cells, harvested from the patients themselves.  “We have found that the adult stem cells are much easier to work with and they provide many of the advantages of embryonic stem cells without the dangers,” he said.

A wide variety of injuries and illnesses have shown responsiveness to small stem cell therapy, both treating them and reversing them, Dr. Grossman noted. Among illnesses that stem cell therapy can currently address or hold the promise of addressing in the near future are: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Stroke, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s Disease.
