Monday marks the start of the 2011 Sedation Safety week, a week set aside to raise awareness regarding safe sedation dentistry. Each year in March, around the time you change your clocks and test your fire alarms, DOCS Education spends five days highlighting various aspects of sedation dentistry safety. A different theme will be featured each day: Monday – The Essential Sedation Safety Checklist Tuesday – State Regulations—are you in compliance? Wednesday – Emergency Preparedness Thursday – The Dental Patient’s Role Friday – Sedation Dentist of the Year Award If you would like to receive information on the above topics as they are released next week, please click here. Don’t forget to nominate the dentist you think deserves the title of 2011 Sedation Dentists of the Year! Email [email protected] and include the nominee’s name as well as a brief explanation of why they deserve the title. Keep checking back for updates and crucial safety information that will be posted next week. We look forward to a successful 2011 Sedation Safety Week!
