Whova app

Since its founding in 1999, DOCS Education has conducted more than 500 sedation and advanced dentistry seminars throughout the country.

No two conferences, however, are ever the same.

The upcoming three-day program in San Diego on February 22nd through 24th will be no exception.

For the very first time, all registrants will be able to download our new conference app to their smartphones. The app, known as Whova (pronounced Who Va), will serve as a conference concierge, displaying the personal agenda for each doctor and team member, and directing attendees to where each session is located, the specific subject being taught, and the faculty member teaching. Whova will also allow registrants to download their course materials, receive daily conference updates, and network with other attendees.

With each class session in San Diego, registrants can be assured they are getting fully up-to-date standard-of-care protocols; insights into new pharmaceuticals that their medically complex patients may be taking, and how to adapt to them; briefings from our on-site regulatory counsel on the ever-evolving guidelines and regulations governing dental care; and clinical observations not only from our distinguished faculty, but also from their fellow attendees.

In San Diego, registrants will also have the opportunity to meet with an elite group of sponsors and exhibitors who specialize in making dental practices more efficient, more secure, more enjoyable, and more profitable.

Among our first-time exhibitors in San Diego will be Genoray America, renowned for its quality and value-oriented imaging systems; and PreVu Dental, which supplies dental practices with a quick and easy cosmetic simulation and smile design tool. The PreVu software enables patients to see what their teeth could look like after treatment.

An always popular feature of every DOCS Education conference is the breaks and after-class social hours that promote networking: making new friends and renewing existing professional contacts.

Dr. George Hardy portrays Sergeant Travis Delmore in the 2018 film, "Texas Cotton"

On Friday evening, registrants will enjoy a special screening of Texas Cotton, the 2018 feature-length film about an aging policeman convinced of the innocence of a mysterious stranger who has been arrested in his small town. The film co-stars George Hardy, a real-life family dentist from Alexander City, Alabama, who has also become a popular movie star.

Dr. Hardy will not only discuss his dual passions – dentistry and acting – he’ll share his experience in making both Texas Cotton, and his cult smash hit, Troll 2, a horror flick about flesh-eating goblins.

For those of you who’ve attended previous DOCS Education conferences, rest assured that what makes our courses among the top-rated continuing education opportunities in the country doesn’t change from venue to venue, or year to year.

Each of our classes, as always, feature our outstanding faculty – unequaled for their knowledge, experience, teaching methods, and effectiveness. And each session includes active engagement, rigorous learning, curricula that have been refined and polished by real-world application, and a splash of fun to ensure that what we teach is memorable, actionable, and enjoyable.

If you haven’t yet registered for our San Diego conference, it’s not too late. For complete details visit our conference homepage here or phone one of our knowledgeable Course Advisors at 855-227-6505.
