Course Description:

This course is a 1.5 hour video lecture. You’ll earn 1.5 hour of CE credit upon completion.

What type of sedation should a dentist use when treating a patient? For the safest option, many dentists prefer nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide sedation has been used in dentistry since the mid-1800s.

In this course, Dr. Anthony Feck walks you through nitrous oxide sedation protocols. He shows you the benefits of nitrous oxide sedation including ease of use and effectiveness. He will also compare the use of nitrous oxide to other forms of sedation.

Dr. Feck will take you through the fundamentals of nitrous oxide sedation. Beginning with the administration of 100% oxygen, to the titration of the nitrous oxide starting at 30%, through maintaining safe levels through the dental procedure, to the recovery of the patient.
