DOCS Education is hosting a Double-Header event Aug. 20-21.

On Friday, August 20, you can take Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and its Recertification course requiring hands-on training to qualify for an American Heart Association certificate.

The structure of these small, in-person meets and exceeds CDC requirements for COVID precautions. You will learn:

  • How to create a crisis management plan (using common office equipment)
  • How to respond to respiratory failure, airway obstruction, cardiac arrest, and anaphylaxis
  • How to save a patient's life using your existing medical knowledge
  • And more

On Saturday, August 21, you can fulfill your sedation recertification requirements in Oral Sedation Dentistry Recertification.

This course will expand the number of sedation protocols in your arsenal and discuss the most recent developments in oral sedation protocols and pharmacology. Plus, if your state requires you to obtain a permit to offer Oral Conscious Sedation (Minimal Sedation or Moderate Enteral Sedation), you must meet your state’s recertification qualifications.

This class fulfills 8 CE credit hours. You'll have 4 hours of online pre-course study followed by a 4-hour lecture, either on our Interactive (((Live))) Streaming platform on Saturday afternoon, or in-person at one of our live events on Saturday morning.

Rooms can be reserved at our special DOCS group rate. Contact DOCS Education at 855-227-6505 for more information.

All ACLS attendees are required to take the AHA self-assessment prior to the course. Please refer to your confirmation letter for instructions.

An important component of this weekend’s conference is the continuing education credits they entitle you to receive. DOCS Education is a strong proponent of lifelong education to maintain and elevate your knowledge and skills.

Here’s what you need to know about the CE credits you’ll earn:

  1. Within two weeks, we will mail those who complete our Oral Sedation Dentistry Recertification course their CE. These vary from state to state in terms of what they need to say, and we will prepare your credits to conform to your state’s requirements.
  2. If you are an Academy of General Dentistry member and would like us to submit your credits to the AGD, please notify us. If you can provide your AGD membership number, that will be helpful.
  3. Those registrants who complete our emergency response courses will be mailed their ACLS cards directly from Life Support Services, which conducts the classes on our behalf. For any questions, please see your instructors.

Please contact your Customer Loyalty Representatives (CLR) prior to the course at [email protected].

Self-parking is $35 per day.

Casual attire is appropriate for the course. However, the meeting space will be well air conditioned. We recommend that you wear warm clothes or bring a sweater so that you can adjust to your own comfort level.
