What to Expect

Pre-Course Learning

Each program has pre-course content that must be completed online before the Interactive (((LIVE))) Streaming event. The hours involved will depend on the course selected. You’ll receive login instructions via email to access the pre-course videos on DOCSLiveStream.com.

Office Hours

A vital part of your educational experience is interactive two-way video sessions. Each Office Hour corresponds to online study modules and will provide personalized support to help you master the material. DOCS faculty interacts live with small groups of participants, allowing you to not only get your questions answered but see what queries others may have. You’ll engage in active conversations that are stimulating, supportive, and educational.

Tech Support

Technical requirements include a desktop or laptop computer with audio and video capabilities (like a webcam), a stable high-speed internet connection, and Adobe Reader to view handouts and articles. Our full-time Tech Support staff will be waiting in the wings to quickly address any issues you may encounter. (A phone or tablet such as iPad and Kindle is not permitted.)

Regulatory Support

The DOCS Regulatory Attorney will be available during lunch and after each Interactive (((LIVE))) Streaming session to answer questions and address concerns regarding permits, certificates, and the renewal process.

Course Materials

You and any registered team members will be sent by mail all materials necessary to complete your course, including:

  • Expansive hard-copy binders designed for you to follow the lecture page-by-page and use as a reference manual after training.
  • Tech requirements and detailed instructions for joining each session on the live-stream portal.
  • An easy-to-follow schedule and checklist to keep participants on track.
  • Snacks and other surprises to make your learning fun!

CE Letters

An important component of the Interactive (((LIVE))) Streaming system is the continuing education credits it entitles you to receive upon completion. Here’s what to know:

  1. Within two weeks, we will email CE certificates to those who complete all elements of their courses (online pre-course, Office Hours, and live-streaming days). These vary from state to state in terms of what they need in writing, so we’ll prepare your credits to conform to your individual state’s requirements.
  2. If you are an Academy of General Dentistry member and would like us to submit your credits to the AGD, please provide your AGD membership number.

Note: Some states, such as California, require that the CE letter be provided directly from us to receive proper credit. If you have any questions about your state’s specific requirements, please ask David Palmer, Esq., our Regulatory Counsel, during scheduled regulatory Office Hour sessions

Train Your Team

Including key team members in the Interactive (((LIVE))) Streaming program is a wise investment that will further ensure your practice’s success. A fully engaged and educated staff will provide a better patient experience while allowing you to focus on the clinical side of dentistry.

Depending on the course, participants will join their doctor in the program, attend specific team breakout sections, or a combination of both. All registered team members will earn CE for attending. Speak with a Course Advisor for more information.

Conference Newsletter

All attendees will receive the DOCS Community Digest email at the conclusion of the event. This will include information on how to access the course recordings, where to find necessary equipment and supplies, as well as exclusive offers limited to course participants.

    • On Thursday, October 8, our Technology staff will be available from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM Eastern/4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Pacific time to help you test your system and troubleshoot as necessary, to ensure everything is ready for the next day's Live Stream. 

  • What time do classes start?

    Please be online by 8:55 AM ET/5:55 AM PT to get set up. 
     
    • Friday, classes will begin at 9:00 AM ET/6:00 AM PT
    • Saturday, classes will begin at 9:00 AM ET/6:00 AM PT.
