In affiliation with Idaho State University and Meharry Medical College, DOCS Education is excited to offer this unique and time-saving IV Sedation Certification course. This course includes 60 hours of didactic instruction (home-study and live), plus a minimum of 20 live patient experiences required by the ADA guidelines and most state dental boards.  Upon completion of this innovative program, you’ll have the knowledge, clinical skills, and permit qualifications to properly select and safely administer effective parenteral (IV) and enteral (oral) minimal and moderate sedation in an outpatient dental setting.

You want to provide your patients with the safest, most-advanced, comprehensive care available. Plus, if your state requires you to obtain a permit to offer Oral Conscious Sedation (Minimal Sedation or Moderate Enteral Sedation), you must meet your state’s recertification qualifications.

This class fulfills 7 ½ CE credit hours and completely updates and refreshes attendees on the pharmacology and proven DOCS Education oral sedation protocols that you must have to keep your patients safe. You'll have 3.5 hours of online pre-course study followed by 4 hours live, either by our Interactive (((Live))) Streaming platform on Saturday afternoon or in-person at one of our live events on Friday afternoon or Saturday afternoon (your choice).

Sedation dentists treat patients with a variety of diseases. Some of those diseases, like asthma, are commonplace and well diagnosed. Others, like sleep apnea, are common but go largely undiagnosed. Still, others like osteonecrosis of the jaw appear as adverse reactions caused by drugs used for bone cancers and osteoporosis. You’ll earn 4 CE credit hours in this 4 module course.
