Presented by DOCS Education with Dr. Carol Wilson, this invaluable course will help the dental team learn the ASA Classifications and evaluate which common medical conditions signify red flags in the patient history. You’ll learn proper protocols for specific complications as well as the limitations of ASA.

This program complies with the Kansas Board of Dentistry Rule 65-1444 that states “A dentist may utilize an assistant not licensed by the board in the administration and monitoring of nitrous oxide or oxygen, or both, if that person is certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and has satisfactorily completed a course of instruction which has been approved by the board.”

This 16 hour course will teach assistants the techniques of N2O and oxygen administration and monitoring, enabling them to maximize patient comfort and increase the practice’s productivity.

This program complies with the Florida Board of Dentistry Rule 64B5-14.003 that states that a dentist may use or employ and authorize a dental hygienist (Rule 64B5-16.006) to initiate and dental assistant to monitor nitrous oxide under indirect supervision upon completion of a two-day course of training as described in the ADA guidelines.

This course will teach assistants and hygienists the techniques of N2O administration and monitoring, enabling them to maximize patient comfort and increase the practice’s productivity and qualifies for 16 hours of CE credit that is automatically issued with a digital certificate upon successful completion. In addition to the online didactic education, the hygienists and assistant must follow the instructions provided to acquiring hands-on training with five (5) patients, under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist.

This Light Sedation online course is board-approved and qualifies for West Virginia’s N2O Qualified Monitor Certificate Class 2*. It provides 16 hours of CE credit that is automatically issued with a digital certificate upon successful completion and a passing score of 75%. Applications required by the West Virginia Board of Dentistry to be certified are included in the course content.

The Essentials of Monitoring the Sedation Patient is designed for sedation team members in Missouri (minimum of 2) to meet the regulations to qualify for a moderate sedation site certificate. This course also meets the requirements for renewal of the site certificate as set by the Missouri Dental Board. Presented by Dr. Allan Schwartz, DDS, CRNA, and DOCS Education, this course will address the protocols and requirements for monitoring a dental patient undergoing sedation. Team Members will earn 15 CE credits.
