Michael Silverman, DMD – Dr. Michael D. Silverman is a globally-recognized dental innovator, educator, author and patients' rights advocate. He has appeared in front of 18 dental boards to advocate for the right of dentists to provide sedation in an environment of safe and reasonable regulations.

Anthony Feck, DMD – Dr. Anthony S. Feck graduated with high distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where he received numerous awards for scholastic excellence. Soon after his graduation in 1983, Dr. Feck was appointed Associate Professor of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry at his alma mater. He has been in private practice in Lexington, Kentucky since completing his education.

Leslie Fang, PhD – Dr. Leslie Shu-Tung Fang is a world-renowned physician, educator, businessman and speaker with an impressive portfolio of accomplishments. Repeatedly honored as one of "America's Top Doctors" and "The Best Doctors of Boston," Dr. Fang maintains an active practice in internal medicine and nephrology in Boston. At the same time, he also serves as a lead instructor at Harvard Medical School, and he has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching.

John Bovia – John Bovia has 30 years of experience in emergency medical services dating back to his time in the U.S. military. He was one of the first paramedics to be licensed in the state of Michigan in the late seventies.

Peter Chiang, DMD – Dr. Peter C.J. Chiang received his dental degree from the University of California at Los Angeles Medical Center, where he also completed a residency in pediatric dentistry. His pediatric dental specialties include growth and development, prevention, education and maintenance of children's dental health.

Roger Sanger, DMD – Dr. Roger Sanger, DOCS Education's lead instructor for Pediatric Sedation Dentistry, is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry. He completed a residency in pediatric dentistry as well as a fellowship in rehabilitation. He received his Master's in Health Care from USC Medical Center and Hospitals prior to entering private practice.

Kenji Saisho, DMD – Dr. Kenji B. Saisho received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School in Chicago, IL and completed a residency in family medicine at UCLA Northridge Hospital.

April Burus – April Burus is an outstanding lecturer who brings many successful years of experience to team training. In addition to her solid background as a medical response team member and office manager, April is a seasoned professional with over 15 years in the dental industry.

C. F. Ward, MD – C. F. Ward, MD, has four decades of experience as an anesthesiologist and also served as a flight surgeon for the U.S. Navy. After graduating from the University of Virginia Medical School in 1969, Dr. Ward went on to get aviation medical training from the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute. Later, he taught for several years at the University of California, San Diego in the Department of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Jerome Wellbrock, DMD, MAGD – Jerome P. Wellbrock, DMD, MAGD is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and the current owner of Northern Kentucky Dental Medicine, PLLC. He has been a member of the AGD and ADA for over 30 years and has held positions of president at the Northern Kentucky Dental Society and L.D. Pankey Study Club of Kentucky. Dr. Wellbrock is also a past vice president of the Kentucky Dental Association.

Dr. Robert Fazio, DMD – Dr. Robert Fazio is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he earned a DMD degree in 1975. He also completed clinical fellowships in periodontology and oral medicine at Harvard.


Live Patient Faculty

Dr. Terry M. Gordon – Dr. Terence M. Gordon received his dental degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1970. Following graduation, he practiced general dentistry in London, England for two years and in Johannesburg, South Africa for five years. He then returned to further his education in endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed his specialty training in 1979. He spent time as an Assistant Professor at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio from 1979 to 1984. He has still remained a Clinical Associate Professor with UTHSC since 1984. He also served as a Clinical Associate Professor with the UT Dental Branch in Houston from 1988 to 1994. He served as President of the Southwest Society of Endodontics (94-95) and the Houston Academy of Endodontists (87-88). He maintains membership with the AAE, ADA, TDA, GHDS, HAE, and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

Dr. Howard Ngo – Dr. Ngo is a Fairfax-area native. He attended J.E.B. Stuart High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Virginia Tech and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery, cum laude, from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He completed his General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina.

Dr. Justin Neibauer – Dr. Justin Neibauer grew up in Waldorf, Maryland. Traveling to Cameroon Africa with his family, Dr. Neibauer was exposed to the true art of caring for people by watching his father engage in dental mission work. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Columbia Union College. While transitioning into dental school, Dr. Neibauer worked at the National Institutes of Health, researching salivary gland development. Dr. Neibauer graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in the top of his class. He earned continuing education certificates in neuromuscular occlusion, esthetic inlays and onlays, bonding, CEREC, and is certified in Invisalign. He is certified for treatment of minor to moderate orthodontic problems. Dr. Neibauer is a member of the ADA, VDA and IOA dental organizations. He is currently working on his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Gopal Pal – Dr G. S. Pal has more than three decades of dental practice experience from both public and private sectors. He completed his DDS from the University of Calcutta and a Master of Science in Pedodontics from the University of Iowa. He then became a clinical instructor at Georgetown University Dental School, Department of Pedodontics (1968-1969) and later an associate professor at Howard University School of Dentistry (1978-1981). Dr. Pal established his family dental practice in Annandale, Virginia in 1974.


Dr. Tim Modic

A dentist in Mechanicsville MD, received his bachelor of science from Xavier University, following it with a degree in dental surgery from Case Western University School of Dentistry and a dental residency with the U.S. Army in Ft. Jackson South Carolina. Beyond being a Mechanicsville MD dentist, Dr. Tim Modic has served as a member of the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners, where he served as Chairperson of the Case Resolutions Committee, Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Dental Examiners, Chairperson of the Selection Committee, and President of the Board. Dr. Modic continues to serve as an examiner for the North East Regional Board. This board presents and oversees the examination process that a dentist must pass to be able to receive a license to practice in Maryland.


Dr. Richard W. Gesker

A graduate of Temple University’s School of Dentistry and School of Business, Dr. Gesker started his career as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He joined Mary’s Center in early 2010 after four years in the military and three years in private practice. He is responsible for delivering high-quality dental care and maintaining the care delivery and management model for all administrative and clinical staff. He enjoys coordinating care between general dentists and specialists, but takes most pleasure in delivering same-day immediate care. His commitment to continuing education is supplemented by the various federal and private research projects he oversees.


Dr. Gary Imm
A practicing dentist since 1982, Dr Gary R Imm, provides advanced cosmetic dentistry, including smile makeovers, sedation, implant and TMJ services in the Baltimore Metropolitan region. A graduate of the University of Maryland at Baltimore Dental School, where he earned a doctorate of dental surgery in 1982, Dr Imm then returned to become an Assistant Clinical Professor until 1999. He has been published in many well-respected dental and medical publications over the years and continues an active coaching practice helping other dentists succeed. An active member of his church, Dr Imm enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and gardening. He and his wife of 24 years and their daughters live in the Westminster, Maryland area.


Steven C. Jackson, D.D.S., P.C
Dr. Jackson graduated from George Mason University in 1979 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. From there, he went on to study at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, commencing in 1984. Dr. Jackson established his own practice in Manassas, Virginia in 1985, a practice he has maintained to this day. Dr. Jackson has been an active participant in DOCS Education, taking his first course in 2000 and receiving his DALS certificate in 2012.


Dr. J.C. Wolfe
Dr. J.C. Wolfe graduated from Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1993 and continued into his General Practice Residency from 1993-1995. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Wolfe began private practice. In 1997 he opened a brand new practice in Charlottesville Virginia and in 1998 bought a practice in Staunton Virginia where his wife Melissa, who graduated from Dental School in 1993, now works as the sole practitioner. Dr. Wolfe began implementing sedation dentistry in his practice in October of 2000. In October of 2001 Dr. Wolfe became a fellow of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. His desire to help patients through their dental anxiety and phobias and become an integral part of improving their overall health is one of the many reasons for his success.
