This course consists of 2 modules. You’ll earn 5 CE credits upon completion. The quest for optimal esthetics coupled with the increased strength of all-ceramic materials has led to a significant increase in the clinical use of all-ceramic crowns and fixed partial dentures. In this presentation, Dr. Goodacre will compare the two types of restorations – all-ceramic crowns or metal-ceramic crowns – based on the factors most important to dentists and their patients when determining which to use. He will also address the most common complications that occur with all-ceramic crowns and discuss ways to optimize their success. 5 CEU

This course consists of 2 modules. You’ll earn 7 CE credits upon completion. Learn the treatment guidelines for determining when to retain the endodontically-treated tooth and when to extract for dental implant placement. In this two-part course, Dr. Goodacre will also look at the important factors required for successful restoration when retaining the tooth.

This course consists of 3 modules. You’ll earn 8 CE credits upon completion.

Consequently, it’s important to possess the knowledge and skills essential to determine the functional state of patients to undergo and respond to dental care.

8 CE credits

Most odontogenic infections are polymicrobial. The number of isolated strains ranges from 1 to 10 with an average number of approximately 4 isolates per infection. The majority of these infections can be resolved satisfactorily through primary dental care. When antibacterial chemotherapy is indicated, the drug of choice should be either the most effective drug against infective pathogens or the least toxic alternative among several available agents. Dr. Geza Terezhalmy will discuss the pharmacology of antibacterial agents and present evidence-based information that will help you with the selection of the most appropriate choice for the management of an odontogenic infection. It is worth 4 CE.

While the transmission of pathogenic microorganisms in the oral healthcare setting is rare, healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) do present a potential hazard to oral healthcare workers and patients alike. To prevent or minimize HAIs, oral healthcare facilities are mandated to develop a written infection control/exposure control protocol that extends to all aspects of the clinical process. Presented by Dr. Geza Terezhalmy, participants will be introduced to evidence-based information that will facilitate compliance with, and the implementation of, infection control rules and recommendations made by federal, state, and local agencies and professional organizations. This course is worth 4 CE.
