In affiliation with Idaho State University and Meharry Medical College, DOCS Education is excited to offer an unparalleled IV Sedation course for dentists. This comprehensive program meets or exceeds the American Dental Association's Guidelines for the Use of Sedation and General Anesthesia by Dentists. It includes 60 hours of didactic instruction (home-study and live), plus a minimum of 20 live patient experiences required by the ADA guidelines and most state dental boards. Upon completion, you’ll have the knowledge, clinical skills, and permit qualifications to properly select and safely administer effective parenteral (IV) and enteral (oral), minimal and moderate sedation in an outpatient dental setting.

The DOCS Education IV sedation certification program meets the regulatory requirements for obtaining an IV permit in 49 states and offers two University affiliations.

This Light Sedation online course qualifies for Illinois’ nitrous oxide administration and monitoring requirements*. It provides 8 hours of CE credit that is issued with a digital certificate upon successful completion of the lecture, clinical component, and a minimum exam score of 75%.
