Meharry Medical College in joint providership with the Washington AGD through its affiliation with DOCS Education has created a new 8-hour course* that fulfills the new one-time opioid course requirement for DEA registration. The course will cover a range of topics related to opioid prescribing and pain management required by the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act, including the risks and benefits of opioids, safe pharmacological management of dental pain and screening, treating and management of patients with substance abuse disorders, patient counseling and education, and more. It is worth 8 CE.

As the country ages, sedation dentists are facing new challenges; patients have more diseases, take more prescription drugs, and carry more surgical implants. In this 3 module 4 hour CE course, Drs. Fang and Feck show you how to assess patients accurately so you can safely treat them.

This Light Sedation online course qualifies for Oregon’s nitrous oxide permit renewal requirements*. It provides 4 hours of CE credit that is issued with a digital certificate upon successful completion and a minimum exam score of 75%.

This Light Sedation online course qualifies for Alaska’s nitrous oxide administration requirements*. It provides 8 hours of CE credit that is issued upon successful completion of the didactic portion with a minimum exam score of 75% and completion of the live patient form. The Essentials of Monitoring the Sedation Patient is designed for sedation team members in Missouri (minimum of 2) to meet the regulations to qualify for a moderate sedation site certificate. This course also meets the requirements for renewal of the site certificate as set by the Missouri Dental Board. Presented by Dr. Allan Schwartz, DDS, CRNA, and DOCS Education, this course will address the protocols and requirements for monitoring a dental patient undergoing sedation. Team Members will earn 15 CE credits.
