Course Description:
This course is worth 1.5 CE.
This presentation will review a simple neuromuscular procedure for making accurate implant overdentures with little to no post-operative adjustments. Presented by Joseph J. Massad, DDS.
Contrary to the conventional anatomically designed prosthesis, this advanced concept eliminates the majority of the over-denture problems that dentists have encountered for the last 100 years.
The placement of implants will be located by making a dual CBCT scan with radiographic markers identifying the optimal positioning based on the final prosthesis.
Objectives:
1. Understand and be able to perform the necessary procedures based on neuromuscular recordings.
2. Understand and be able to direct the mandibular teeth positioning based on the neutral zone.
3. Be able to interpret a CBCT dual scan to identify ideal implant positioning.
4. Make a simple final overdenture impression in eight minutes!
