In this information-packed course presented by Dr. Steve Yun, MD, an anesthesiologist and medical consultant for DOCS Education, you’ll learn the significance of a comprehensive pre-sedation evaluation for optimal patient care and safety.

Dr. Yun will discuss the importance of reviewing the patient’s physical assessment and health history, as well as medical and behavioral disorders in case selection criteria.   • Learn the case-by-case evaluation of neurologic diseases and psychiatric conditions.
  • Understand heart conditions including:
    • Murmurs
    • Atrial fibrillation
    • Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVCs)
    • Hypertension
  • Determine the preferred method for measuring blood pressure.
  • Review guidelines for recognizing and managing emergency hypertensive crises.
