Either our PSD course (25 hours) or a pediatric residency are a pre-requisite to taking this online course. It is worth 7 CE hours.

3 CE hours

Laryngospasm is a sudden laryngeal and glottic contracture that makes it difficult for a patient to speak or breathe. During this 90-minute presentation, Allan Schwartz, DDS, CRNA and Sedation Consultant, will thoroughly review the anatomy of the airway and the protective mechanisms the human body has in place to safeguard the airway. After a triggering episode, the vocal cords can strongly spasm, and can partially or completely close off any efforts of inspiration and expiration. This course is worth 1.5 CE.

1.5 CE hours

During this information-packed presentation, Dr. Michael Silverman discusses the 8 key elements of marketing for dental patients with real-life case examples and equips you with strategies to make intelligent marketing decisions for your business. This course is worth 1.5 CE.

Learn the significance of case evaluation and selection when sedating pediatric dental patients. Presented by Drs. Roger Sanger, DDS, MS, and Dr. Steve Yun, MD. You’ll learn which pediatric patients can be sedated in the dental office and when it’s wise to refer out. Dr. Yun will also share the guidelines and risk factors for accepting sedation patients with upper respiratory infections (URIs). This course is worth 1 CE hour.
