This gateway course is one of our most popular; it provides the necessary training to administer sedation to healthy adults. Sessions are taught by renowned faculty who are also practicing doctors — a Harvard Medical School professor and distinguished practicing dentists — and cover everything you need to know to integrate adult oral sedation into your practice. Class format consists of informative and engaging lectures and discussions. 25 CE hours.

You want to provide your patients with the safest, most-advanced, comprehensive care available. If your state requires you to obtain a permit to offer minimal sedation or moderate enteral sedation, you must meet your state’s oral sedation recertification qualifications. This class fulfills 8 CE credit hours and completely updates and refreshes attendees on the pharmacology and proven DOCS Education oral sedation protocols that you must have to keep your patients safe. You'll have 4 hours of online pre-course study followed by 4 hours live training, either by our Interactive (((Live))) Streaming platform on Saturday afternoon or in-person at one of our live events on Saturday morning. 8 CE hours.

Dental practitioners in need of IV sedation recertification or permit maintenance can efficiently update their IV sedation skills and increase the number of protocols in their arsenal. This course is ideal for general dentists and specialists who administer IV medication, with or without oral sedatives. Increase your IV sedation knowledge with new science and real-life applications in one day, either online or in person.

This program has created an online component that qualifies for Section 1220 of IL Administrative Code, as well as an in-office training guide dentists to clinical hands-on training for offices with an IV trained dentist..

What is the current state of enteral sedation, and what do you need to know? Part of our "Study in Place" webinar series, this 90-minute course is presented by DOCS Faculty member, Dr. Jerome Wellbrock. You will earn 1.5 CE.

According to statistics, during your dental career, you will experience two or more medical emergencies in your practice. During this 90-minute course, Dr. Jerry Wellbrock will discuss how to handle medical emergencies in your practice. He will share the techniques used to sustain the patient’s life, along with what it felt like to be in charge of a medical emergency coordinated with local EMS. This course is worth 1.5 CE.

1.5 CE hours

This course provides 4 CE.

While medical emergencies are relatively rare in dentistry, statistics show that you will experience two or more incidents in your practice throughout your career. Therefore, being able to respond to such emergencies with knowledge and confidence is an essential skill for every dental professional and components of an emergency response dental team. 

This licensure renewal training will be presented by three esteemed DOCS faculty members: Dr. Steve Yun, a board-certified M.D. and Dental Anesthesiologist in Southern California; Dr. Jerry Wellbrock, a seasoned clinician with over 30 years of experience and Jim Bovia, Paramedic, who is also the instructor for DOCS’ ACLS certification training.
